In the far distant past a probe was sent to earth and the force of it folding space ejected massive amounts of energy that reshaped the solar system, while the probe made its way to earth and sent smaller probes to survey the planet for minerals. One of the probes discovered early hominids and abducts the leader of a band of hunters, returning him to its own planet - ruling council of Nubiru plan  the colonisation of earth to extract its gold and minerals but require a subservient workforce to mine it.
