Description
Even the freezing Delhi weather cannot match the iciness of the cold room in the city’s premier research institute – Center for Toxic Chemicals. For in this cold room, senior scientist Dr. Arun Sahani was bolted in and left to die of hypothermia – carelessly or mercilessly? Indeed, the death would have been labeled an unfortunate accident, had it not been for the fact that the victim was working on a Ministry of Defense project. There is another curious point – with no evidence of interference or hacking, how did the victim and the killer manage to evade a tight CCTV camera security covering every inch of CTC?
Bureau of Detection’s senior investigators Shivaraman D. and Abhimanyu Chopra are called in to assess the situation. They can take their pick of suspects – a visibly nervous senior colleague or a disgruntled PhD scholar? Friends and family of a dangerously ill researcher or a missing technician? A corporate spy or an enemy agent? With crumbling alibis and unusual motives, it takes Shivaraman’s immense ingenuity and Abhimanyu’s dogged perseverance to arrive at the answer. The presence of Veera Shivaraman is, of course, a bonus!
