Giving: A Doorway To Blessings

Giving: A Doorway To Blessings

Description

"Giving - a Doorway to Blessings" is a book that takes readers to a new and deeper level of giving itself, revealing what it really style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(15,17,17);font-size:14px;">I am sure every individual, whether Christian or not, is encouraged to be generous, helpful, and to be a giver in some way. As long as we live in a community, we are bound to come across words of encouragement and knowledge about giving. But after hearing and doing that, what's next?

It is true that everyone wants a reward for the work they do, whether indirect or direct. Deep down, we need a reward. The Bible itself says in Galatians 6:7, "Whatever one sows, he/she shall reap," meaning that whatever good or bad thing you do, you will have to reap the consequences/reward of style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(15,17,17);font-size:14px;">But have you ever come to a point in life where you do your best, you give to the best of your ability, but do not seem to get results? I once came to a point in my life where I didn't want to hear anything about giving. I reached a point where I thought this "giving" thing was a scam, where I actually preferred not to go to church because if I heard preachings about giving, I would just think, "These people just want our money, nothing style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(15,17,17);font-size:14px;">With time, God gave me the grace to understand what giving really is. Once I had this understanding, I started to see results because I was now doing it with an understanding of what it truly is and the knowledge of how it works. That is why I have decided to share this knowledge and understanding with my fellow Christians. Even if you are not yet a believer in Christ Jesus, I would encourage you to read this book, and I pray that God himself gives you the grace to understand and open your heart to accept Him as Lord and style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(15,17,17);font-size:14px;">I have come to realize that when the Bible says, "My people perish because of lack of knowledge," at times it is not that we are failing to do what we have been told, nor is it that we are disobeying what we are always being encouraged to do. The matter lies not only in the doing, but in the knowledge and understanding of what we are doing. Do you have the know-how of what you are doing? We do not just give for the sake of giving, nor do we give merely because we were told that is a good way to live. Giving goes much deeper than the word itself, which is why it is very important for an individual to have a deeper understanding of style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(15,17,17);font-size:14px;">Yes, we are being generous, but do we really have the understanding of what we are doing? Proverbs 4:7 states, "And in all your getting, get style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(15,17,17);font-size:14px;">Let's take the example of a farmer. If I am new to farming and an experienced farmer just comes to me and says, "Plant this maize seed in the field and it will grow," out of my obedience I will go and plant. But you see, this farmer hasn't explained to me what it takes for the maize seed to grow. He hasn't told me the type of soil to plant the maize seed in, he hasn't told me when to apply fertilizer, how and when to water the seed, and what amount. All these factors determine whether the seed will grow or not. Out of obedience, I will just go and plant the seed, but the question is: Will the seed really sprout because I was just told to go and plant, and I did? Certainly not!

That is why we need the knowledge and understanding of what we style="background-color:rgb(255,255,255);color:rgb(15,17,17);font-size:14px;">This book delves deeper into the concept of giving - why giving? It delves into the what, when, how, and why of giving. It is my prayer that as we read this book, the Holy Spirit himself gives us an understanding of what giving truly is, so that we do not just do it for the sake of doing it, nor do we do it merely because we have been told it is
