Description
Spirits roam the historic Hawaiian sugar cane plantation, and the screams of long-dead people sacrificed at the nearby killing bluff can be heard on a calm, moonlit night. Or at least that’s what Myrtle Glubber is told when she joins a murder mystery whodunit writers conference. Before the charades can even begin, Myrtle finds herself on the scene of a real murder.
Mac, a handsome retired detective, shares tales of island lore, suggesting the murderer may just be vengeful island spirits. Cynical, but logical, Myrtle finds herself in disbelief at his stories, but also enamored by his romantic adorations.
Things become more muddled as she deeply wants to spend time with him, but there still could be a murderer among them. When the bridge is washed out, and they are all trapped on the island another murder makes it very clear: they are not safe. Myrtle is determined to find the killer before she or one of her friends becomes the next victim.
